In June, WorkChoices enterprise agreements are ending, and their replacement, industry-based enterprise agreements, may soon supersede traditional enterprise agreements agreed at the workplace.
Important changes to enterprise bargaining have been made that are designed to facilitate union involvement in bargaining. These changes will impact employers and it’s crucial to act now to protect your business from risk.
Our industrial relations expert, Ben Duggan, has specifically designed this seminar for employers who need to understand the changes, what steps they need to take now to comply with the new requirements and options to minimise the impact of these changes.
In this session, you will learn about critical changes to:
- the initiation of bargaining;
- termination of enterprise agreements;
- sunsetting of pre-Fair Work ‘zombie’ agreements;
- bargaining disputes;
- multi-employer agreements;
- industrial action;
- the Better Off Overall Test (BOOT); and
- the relaxation of procedural requirements.
Ben will provide valuable insights and guidance that will assist employers to begin planning for the transition now so as to ensure compliance with their obligations and avoid significant disruption to their operations.
